Fall Break: October 2 - October 13


School just started, but before you know it your kids will be home for fall break. Now is the time to start looking for fall break camps. Chandler Parks & Recreation offers students, ages 5-13, an opportunity to participate in fun and exciting recreational activities such as crafts, science projects, sports, fitness competitions and more. Check out our camp locations for fall themed curriculum:


Registration Opens August 5 for residents and August 11 for non-residents!

Chandler Community Center

Kids will become junior Einsteins for the and embark on a series of adventures. Campers will have so much fun that they’ll forget they’re learning! Camp at the Chandler Community Center offers action-packed activities for ages 5-12 old with a STEM experience. Campers will put their hardhat on and become engineers for the week, as they learn about aerospace, mechanical, automotive, and structural engineering. Working in teams, they’ll complete construction missions using LEGO’s, assemble a rocket, build a robot, and so much more! Art projects, field trips, swimming and sporting games will round out each day in a fun and challenging way.  
 

Environmental Education Center – Nature Camps

If your kiddos are looking for a traditional experience that includes hiking and exploring the great outdoors, check out the Environmental Education Center’s Nature Camp. Programs are available to kids as young as 6 and up to 12 years old. When campers arrive at Veterans Oasis Park, they gather together for some morning games that include strategy and teamwork. After that, kids hike through the nature preserve, play games, make crafts, conduct experiments, eat lunch and snack and enjoy daily theme activities.

Snedigar Recreation Center

For a fun-filled active camp experience, check out sports camp at the Snedigar Recreation Center. This is your chance to give your little athletes a taste of soccer and football. Campers ages 5-12 years old begin the day with a group assembly, stretching and warm-up activity, and a fitness focus of the day. Throughout the day, kiddos will participate in sports, along with games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
 

Tumbleweed Recreation Center

It’s ok to make a mess at Tumbleweed Recreation Center’s camp. There’s so much to offer at this creative space designed for artists to learn, collaborate and inspire. When you pick them up you’ll find that they spent a full day exploring art, being creative and playing and that they’re not ready to go home. Each day they explore the great outdoors and incorporate nature into their creations. Every week focuses on a different theme and includes games, swimming, sports and special field trips.

 

Camp Carley

This program is designed for teens ages 18 and older with developmental disabilities. The purpose is to explore Arizona’s high country and escape the heat of the summer, gain an appreciation for nature and all of its beauty, learn how to fish, take a hike, or just skip rocks beside a cool mountain lake. Join the fun as Mesa and Chandler go off to the mountains!
