Rodney Henderson, Bachelor's in Fitness Wellness and NSCA-CPT, National Strength & Conditioning Association, and Pursuing Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certification
Rodney's training philosophy is “to help people attain healthy goals with concepts of strength and conditioning through a proper, injury free, training progression.” Those concepts are based on increasing performance at all levels of physical fitness; beginner, intermediate, and advanced, through functional training that translates to healthy everyday movement at work, recreation, or sports. Increasing performance results in decreased bodyfat percentage, muscle and cardiovascular conditioning, increase in lean muscle and muscle mass, increase in mobility, and feeling better overall.

Rodney's experience and knowledge is diverse. He is proficient with TRX, all aspects of functional training; medicine ball, plyometric, speed and agility, flexibility and recovery, bodyweight, balance and stabilization, group/ team training, testing, and weight training. He has worked with college and high school athletes to clients with health and mobility limitations.

Roberta Kagno, American Council on Exercise (ACE) Ceritified
Roberta began her career in fitness in 1995. She was working a 9 to 5 job in Corporate America and the company she worked for held “Aerobics” classes during the lunch hour – good old hi/lo impact aerobics circa 1980’s/90’s where she was a regular participant. One day the instructor received an emergency phone call and had to leave the room. On the way out she said, “Roberta, teach the class!” Eventually the instructor left the job and Roberta was asked to obtain her Group Exercise Certification and become the new instructor. She loved it so much that she left behind the corporate grind and furthered her education in fitness to include Personal Training and a variety of specialty certifications, as well as teaching/training in both corporate facilities and commercial health clubs.

In 2000 Roberta became certified with A.C.E., American Council on Exercise, as a Personal Trainer and have been a Group Exercise Instructor at Tumbleweed since the doors opened in 2008. Tumbleweed has been her favorite place to work since moving to Arizona ten years ago. She is excited about the opportunity to personal train here at TRC. Roberta looks forward to meeting new members and guests outside of the group fitness studio and to share her knowledge and experience to help guide you to reach your personal fitness best!
