Eggs-citing Family Easter Celebration features free family fun April 15
Hop over to Snedigar Sportsplex for egg hunts, live music, games and more

No-bunny does Easter quite like Chandler! Families are invited to hop to the Snedigar Sportsplex from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 15, for an Easter extravaganza.
The 37th annual Family Easter Celebration is free and offers four scheduled egg hunts based on age for children up to 9 years old. Egg scrambles start promptly at 10:30 a.m. and families are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes early.

More than 12,000 eggs will be spread across the sport fields, so make sure to bring your Easter basket. Find the Golden Egg and receive a backpack full of goodies. Everyone joining the hunt can pick up an entry ticket for a chance to win an eggs-citing family Easter basket before the event concludes at noon.

The morning also will be hopping with Easter crafts, face painting, interactive amusements, musical performances and more. Some activities require a minimal fee. Grab the whole family and don your best smile as photos with Peter Cottontail will be available for purchase.

The City also is on the hunt for Chandler’s most egg-cellent artist. Little bunnies up to 9 years of age are encouraged to gather their crayons, markers and glitter and pick up this year’s coloring page at any Chandler recreation facility or download at The contest ends April 5, so get hopping!

The Family Easter Celebration is presented by the City in partnership with Black Bear Diner and Fired Pie. For more information, call the Special Events Line at 480-782-2735 or visit
