Gas line work to restrict south Chandler streets

Various stretches of Arizona Avenue between Queen Creek and Ocotillo roads will be restricted to a single southbound lane overnight and two southbound lanes during the day beginning Sunday, June 4.
Work will begin at Ocotillo Road just west of Arizona Avenue, then progress northward on Arizona Avenue to Queen Creek Road, then turn east. The work along Arizona Avenue will conclude by September and be performed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Access will be maintained to homes and businesses.
Beginning in late August/early September, the eastbound lanes of Queen Creek Road will be restricted to a single lane overnight and two lanes during the day between Arizona Avenue and McQueen Road.
The restrictions are necessary for the installation of a new gas line by Southwest Gas. Similar work occurred last year on sections of Germann Road and McQueen Road.
