Bark in the park at Woofstock’s 10th anniversary, November 18
Celebrate 10 doggone good years with high flying tricks, donation drive and more

With the dog days of summer behind us, get your dog out of the house and raise the ruff at Tumbleweed Park, Saturday, Nov. 18, in celebration of Woofstock’s 10th anniversary.

Dog lovers of all kinds will enjoy a fur-filled day of free family fun from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year’s event is reaching out to help pets and pet parents in need by inviting the community to join paws and donate pet provisions to help the Broward County Humane Society in Florida.

While supplies last, commemorative Woofstock t-shirts will be given free to those donating at least three rolls of duct tape, three bath towels, any size plastic pet travel carrier, or gas gift cards, Amazon gift cards, pet snacks or pet toys valued at $10 or more. All donations will be sent to Broward County Humane Society to help rescue, relocate, feed and care for pets that have been left homeless due to recent floods.

“For the past 10 years, philanthropy has been central to the culture of Woofstock and we have consistently partnered with agencies to raise awareness and support pets,” said Hermelinda Llamas, Chandler special events coordinator. “It made sense to us to celebrate our anniversary with a focus on serving others, especially those affected by Hurricane Irma.”

This year, Woofstock organizers have rounded up a dog lover’s dream of wag-worthy activities, including:
  • High flying shows by the nationally acclaimed Purina Pro Plan Performance Team
  • Pet adoptions hosted by Maricopa County Animal Care & Control
  • Low cost vaccinations hosted by Schelle Veterinary Services
  • Walk of Honor hosted by the American Service Animal Society
  • Pet caricature drawings and portraits
  • Pet psychic readings as told by Terrie Wallace
  • Dance performance from Beyond Motion Dance Company
  • Canine sporting demonstrations by Blazin’ K9s, Brittany Rescue, Chandler Police K9 Unit and Dog Training Elite
Pets and people alike can enjoy a variety of food and beverages throughout the park. All food and drinks are pay-as-you-go. Woofstock is a cash only event; there are no ATMs onsite, but some vendors may accept credit cards.
Woofstock is presented in partnership by the City of Chandler, the American Service Animal Society, Maricopa County Animal Care, Black Bear Diner, Phoenix Dog Magazine and Sun Lakes Chandler Animal Clinic. Sniff out more information at
